Hey guys! Just a quick update on how things are going here, it's crazy how fast the weeks have gone by and I apologize once again for basically falling off the edge of the map for a month D: Suffice to say it's been a rough year for me.
I have been working on some commissions, just haven't got around to uploading them yet; also, while my new Cintiq tablet is huge and amazing and fun to use, it's been taking me even longer than usual to get art finished on it (hopefully that's because it has more detail and therefore looks better - you'll have to judge that for yourself when I do the next art dump!). I'm thinking of re-vamping my commission options and just having "flat colour" and "shaded colour" (which would be in between my current "speedpaint" and "detailed paint"), partly because I really seem incapable of painting "speedily" and partly because at this point a full-detail painting on this tablet is just too big a time commitment :P I'll try out some stuff and keep you posted.
Also, after all the crappy times I'd been having through the summer and fall, Badger and I decided to take a little vacation to the seaside last week :3 Nothing heals like a gambol in the forest and a frolic on the beach! (We also went to a lovely wildlife sanctuary, where I got my new burr buddy here :3)
Feeling much rested and recuperated now, as usual behind on my emails and comments and as usual my first priority is getting back to the arting and catching on on a few commissions but I promise I'll get caught up on everything soon!
Much love and unending gratitude <3 <3 <3

Welcome back! It's always good to rest and recuperate! (I can't tell if what I saw you do in person was gamboling or frolicking, though... ahem) There's a little something different about your eyes... rough year indeed. But you don't seem in a bad place right now.
If you do a detailed painting with the cintiq, you might have to limit it to something like 200x200 pixels, just to keep it manageable time-wise... :D

Good thinking regarding the vacation! Especially considering where you live — it's far more exciting and reinvigorating to hike though the mountainous forest and over oceanside beaches than most nature-based activities around Toronto (although the Niagara Escarpment about 2 hours to the west is a marvellous remnant of billion-year-old mountains). Even better to hear that things are becoming more stable in daily life!
Aside from adorably plush bears, what did you see at the wildlife centre?
Snazzy hair hues!
