I thought it might be a good idea to talk a bit about what my figurines are made of and how do I build them :)
As some of you may know, I'm a dentist and a dental/eye prosthetic maker. So one day while modeling teeth for a prosthesis, I had the idea of using the same materials and process to make figurines of characters. It took me some tries to get good results, but now I've found a method that works best, which is how I now make these figurines I sell.
They're initially modeled using wax, heating up instruments to melt and fuse components, and sculpting it as detailed as I can, but minding the space that'll be occupied in the cast.
Next, a cast is made with silicone, covering half of the body first, and a second cast for the other half.(This same cast can be used to make many copies of the same figurine).
A resin made of a mix of Acrylic monomer and polimer is poured into both casts, and then they're fused together, which result in the final piece.
Finally, the remnants are cut off, the piece is smoothed and polished, and the figurine is done! :D
The end result is a pearly white figurine shaped like a character, in this case a Simba-like lion cub, which is now ready to be painted as any character you like. (example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/24788071/ )
They can also be slightly modified, so if a character has more cheek fluff, or needs a mane tuft, or any other physical trait, they can be easily added to the original model.
If you're interested in getting one of these uniquely made figurines, please check out my figurine commissions info here:

I hope you find this process fascinating, and be on the lookout for more new different figurines to come in the future :)
