House Broch is the northern most house with it's furthest border along the Flumen Dividit which divides the Collum Magnum in two from east to west, separating not only cutting Insula Viridis in two, but also the Draco Montibus, separating the civilized Viridis from the descendants of the Denspeet in the lands known as Tuathia.

House Broch is the oldest of all the houses, having been established by the Navali during their occupation as a way to keep the Denspeet from crossing back to the rest of the island. The house, however, is not of Navali descent. The Navali promoted a loyal Denspeet Chief to the position of Protegere. When the Navali fell, the Broch began to conquer the lands to their south, eventually forming the country of Brynach. The Brynach were never successful in getting past Brocarden Castle, nor were they successful in taking the Sable Forest.
