Choosing Dreams over Nightmares
Apparently i snuck onto a space station to draw this picture, or at least that is now the official canon on
vorell's upload, so who am i to not go along with it? Big thank you to him for the commission and oh boy let me tell you, using a tablet in zero G is no fun. Whenever you reach for the keyboard it just starts to float away, and applying pressure to it is really really tough as well since you gotta hold it differently depending on where you want to push against the pressure of the pen. And NO, there were no super advanced solutions like "a table" or "a wall" available to just hold it again. Don't be crazy...
It also doesn't help that everything floats around. Like on earth you just have to worry about your model moving, but in space? I was like tumbling and twirling everything! Put down some lines here and there and next time i looked up everything was upside down! At least now i now to apply an extra charge the next time someone drags me into orbit a few starsystems away to paint their picture. Probably should have done that already now that i think of the time it took to travel there and back....
Character of course belongs to
Vorell!

Seeing as he never knew you were there, now I'm left wondering what other sort of candid shots you jotted down. If I see any circulating the net of my roo washing the body paint off in the shower, I'll know who's responsible now.
Thanks again for the great work and your patience with my delayed and derpy communication.

:D That might actually make for a rather interesting picture i can imagine. Washing them off in a zero-g enviroment? And now the more i think of it i also do wonder just how "full" of water you could get a coat of fur. In zero-G the surface tension should work pretty well to keep the water attached to the furcoat like the inner buffer of air usually does. So you have like a water layer in the fur surrounding the animal/anthro, if that makes any sense.... NASA/ESA/whatever other space angencies there are should really get to that and investigate the real important questions like that one.
And of course thank you in return as well, and really no worries. Was all still in the green! :)

Water & fur are already a challenge, adding the zero-g element to it sounds tedious. You'd have to have multiple drains constantly providing suction and vents to allow air in to keep the pressure equalized.
Sounds like NASA has moved past showers though-

Sounds like skylab had it right imo or you could always put the shower on a segment experiencing centrifugal forces to emulate gravity.
An even more fun thought is consider how much of a poofball an anthro would be after drying off i they have no gravity to weigh their fur down.

Reading technical documents has fried my fiction writing abilities. I had plans for trying to write books a decade ago. I've written for a high school newspaper and had a poem published in an anthology. That as well as a recent request by my work to turn an advisory email on phishing into a blog post are about the extent that this roo's been published.
Your comment also reminded me that this is a thing and now I can't unsee the pose similarities.

I think that's because space in the media is always depicted as a cold, sterile, desolate place... which it is, but all spectrums of radiation exist there, not just blue and white light.
I didn't realize I was making finding references more difficult when I requested a red dwarf as the light source... oops. I thought I read somewhere that they are the most common star type.

This is very sad, yet I could understand it. His love for his girlfriend is the only thing that kept him going and the constant visions of her gave him hope. His will for her was so strong that his madness gave him the strength he needed. Without that, if even slight doubt she was dead I think he'd do it. I mean the ways people died on that ship and him going through all of it nearly alone. Shit Im not sure I could do it. This is amazing, I'd love to see you capture more like this. LOL maybe some silent hill. But yes I love this thank you
