Shadi is watching as a storm moves over the city of Sirath, where she lives. Usually she likes storms, they make her feel free, and she loves the mix of excitement and fear she feels when standing in the fury of the elements. This one is different though, this time she's afraid.
Shadi gets all the best cityscapes. :P
I noticed that my most recent works were a bit lacking in details, not to mention it's been a while since I drew a cityscape, so this drawing was a perfect opportunity to do both. Despite some perspective issues I'm really happy with the result, also because this was the first time I drew a stormy sky with lightning.

Awesome piece, just happened upon it from the front page. The detail is amazing and I adore the style you used for the clouds. Perhaps it could use a bit more shading or some fog, it maaaybe appears a little flat in terms of perspective. I love the style though, and the fact that it's traditional. Lovely work!
