Eli (the human) and Tamale (the pinto with blue hooves) belongs to me
The red Volvo sped off as Eli entered the stable. Andrew was already there, cleaning and taking care of the horses. Tamale and Moana was out in the paddock, eating hay and enjoying themselves.
"Hello Andy."
Eli said softly and waved. He was sitting on one of the hayballs, drinking coffee.
"Good morning. Did your mom drive you here today?"
He asked. He had noticed that Eli usually walked to the stables, even though it was almost 5 km from the house to the stables.
"Yeah. She was heading to the store, so she offered me a ride."
Eli's mom didn't spend much time in the stable as she was scared of horses. But she supported Eli and would always make sure that her child were happy.
"That's nice of her... Do you want some coffee?"
Andrew offered a cup to Eli, which was gladly accepted. Eli sat down next to Andrew on the hayball, blowing softly on the hot coffee.
"I thought maybe you could take Tamale out to the ponds today? I heard the leaves has just fallen and it's really pretty there. I think Tamale will like it."
Eli nodded. Andrew was like a nice big brother.. only.. handsome.. and.. oh no.. very handsome...
"Yes.. ehhh... hehe.. I think so too!"
Eli stood up and put down the cup.
"Well, I better get moving! Tamale is waiting for me!"
With that being said Eli rushed out the door with the lead rope, and quickly saddled Tamale. Andrew just shrugged, Eli always had so little time, young and impatient. He had all day, and Moana wasn't going anywhere. With a swift movement Eli was up in the saddle, and already on the trail. But which way was the trail to the ponds? It would be near the end of the river, so probably to the right.. Oh well, they would probably find it together, shouldn't be that hard to find.
"Oh Tamale.. You're such a good girl. What do you think I should do?"
Eli said, more to calm all the thoughts swirling around inside, than to actually have a conversation with the horse. Tamale moved one of her ears back, listening to Eli.
"I mean.. I'm just a kid you know.. and.. well."
Tamale shook her head and started moving faster, getting bored of all this talk. She had things to do, places to be!
"I know.. I should take it slow.. yes.. I'll say nothing for now.. And I don't even know myself yet.. So how am I supposed to know what everyone.. WHOAA!"
Tamale suddenly reared up, legs high up from the ground. Rolling her eyes, she backed away from the unknown creature in the bushes. Eli clung to Tamale's neck, grasping on. Finally after what seemed like an eternity Tamale's front legs hit the ground and Eli could see what had frightened her this much. There on the other side of the pond stood a horse, almost blending in with the purple leaves, mane and tail flowing around it. Another runaway horse??
