The annual Peugot Design Contest tests artists and fans to create a concept car for the automotive manufacturer around that years theme and I've wanted to enter since 2001 when it first opened. I've finally worked up the courage to model and render my ideal Peugot concept. A hothatch dubbed 'Poison' for it's title: Peugot 1080. 1080 is the sale and chemical name for a poison used to control the spread of arboreal foragers. Can you say... Rabbit? ^_-

The car would, ideally run an electric motor similar to the ones debuted in GM's Hy-Wire and Venturi's Fetish. Outputs would rival similar vehicles in it's class, hopefully stripping them of their titles. Negative light treatments, formidable aerodynamic cleaving and an elongated, 90s style hood draw cues from my personal taste. I hate stubnosed cars and though ideal here I decided the engine placement would work better in the rear, since electrics are silent but for a mild hum. Under the hood would be ample luggage space, under the seats would sit the battery arrays and due to the drive-by-wire nature of the electronic systems, basically no linkages and nothing in the cabin but an either-side steering and enough room for two.
