Foresight came running and shooting down an alley to see a soldier run past and then fall from a shot to the ankle. She sprinted forward, hoping to save him before they would be finished, but the someone beat her too it. Flames shot over the soldier's head, but from the directions he was running from. Firefight ran out and literally through fire outward. Foresight saw the buildings that were behind them were flameless now, and fire was mainly infront of her leader as he'd push it back from time to time. A shot struck Firefight's shoulder and then he ran to cover.
Foresight did the same andhid arond a corner on the opposite side of the street "Firefight, What are you doing with the fires?"
"Using them!" He shouted back "If I pull them out of the buildings our men can find cover while the APCs arrive."
"And the wall of fire?"
"It's a weapon to keep them back," he said "We can't let them get close or they could blow up the buildings, or one of our incoming APCs."
Booming bolts of lightning drowned them out soon, and them Firefight ran back out, pulling fire form the burning buildings and pushing it forward as the soldiers behind would grab eachother and run back.
Foresight tried to call to him, but the unatural lightning didn't yield for her to speak. She ran close to to him and shouted. "What am I here for then?"
"Backup." Firefight shouted, "Tessa and I are trading attention of the sniper as we push them back, we're hoping that Shadow can find that sniper in time."
She didn't need to question more as troopers were already coming out to take a shot at them. Firefight moved his hands fast and sent the flames at them in a wave, some dodged while others ran burning, and then Foresight would handle the rest with just one of her pistols.
The farther they got the more the soldiers started to move the wounded back, and eventually it'd pay off with one of the APCs pulling up to meet. Then, however, Foresight took off infront of Firefight. She lept the flames, charging and shooting anyone in her path.
"Foresight, get back here!" Firefight demanded "We need to hold the line if we're gonna push it!"
"I know where the killer is!" She said over the coms, "I'm going after him!"
"Negative, You're suppose to be here with me!" Firefight shouted into the coms. "Tell Shadow where and get back here!"
"No time for that!" She shouted and turned off her comes. She dashed past troops and shot them dead as she entered a building that hadn't exploded. She loaded her guns as she went upstairs, and then kicked a door down. A horse with a submachine gun saw her but was too slow, and so was the sniper, but before she could aim for the rocketeer, it fired it's round. She shot him just after, and when she aimed for the rocket itself, it flew into an APC. the thing bursted into flames and twisted metal, with no one left to save inside.
From behind someone came, but Foresight as slower to react, and was shot in the lower arm, and she fell back. She raised her other gun and shot him, but the pain in her arm hurt more than it should have. She got up and looked as Firefight ran her way, and so was Tessa, from another street. The enemy was retreating because of her actions, but it left her with rocks in her stomach.
