"It's fine."
Matthew's ears actually perked up at those words
"I get that you're a powerful monster under that glamor." Kari said "But that won't stop me from doing my job."
"What?" Matthew turned to face her. "Why? Do you know how powerful they are?"
"Of course she does," brain said inside him "She said even dragons don't win against them."
"Why?" Matthew reiterated.
"Because I'm not scared." Kari said "I'm not scared of what you can do. I still want to help you."
"Why?" Matthew asked "You barely know me."
"I know you're nice, and smart." Kari said "You've made friends, and then saved their lives when thigns turned for the worst."
"I'm a murderer!" Matthew said
"You didn't try to kill them though," Kari said "You just have problems."
"Do tou know if it's even curable?" Matthew said
"There's theories, but nothing that's worked" Brain interrupted into control
"I'm a studend majoring in psychology." Kari said "I'll find a way."
Brian smiled to her, "And I'll help in any way I can. I can memorize anything, and it's easier when Matthew is in control.
"So even Matt's gonna help then." kari laughed
Matthew returned soon afterwards, unaware of what made her laugh, but just smiled like he knew.
"Well, if this is out of the way, let's head back to ASA and get Jake in the loop with things." Kari turned around and started to walk out.
"Wait." Matthew said, and caught up with her "Just one more thing. Don't tell anyone about this."
"Why?" kari asked "it's not like they've meet scary monsters before."
"Please, this could really freak them out. They think I'm some kind of kobalt or something right now." Matthew said "it's complicated, so don't tell them."
"Well... this other thing if I do." Kari said, "Back where I'm from, secrets are kept through trade. If I'm going to keep this secret you need to keep one of my secrets."
Matthew looked at her puzzled, but, if it'd keep his secret safe, he nodded.
Kari looked at her cross neckace, and then pulled it off. Before Matthew's eyes, mist started to cloud and build around Kari. It just build till she was missing and then it dispersed and her ligth brown fur was solid white scales. Her hair was now blue as the sky above the falls, and her markings were even bluer. What remains after her charm was removed was her horns, and even those had become blue and white like the rest of her body.
"So, you're a dragon?" Matthew said "That explains your comment from before.
"No, I'm a Mist dragon, and I'm super rare." Kari said "I've got people looking for me so I have to stay hidden very well. Okay?"
"ooooh," Matthew said, nodding, "As long as you keep mine, my lips are sealed."
"Lass, Why be a disguise as a mammal though?" Lass said, and had taken control of Matthew again
"Oh, Lass you're back." Kari said "Well, you see-"
"We're all here, all the time." Lass said "Matthew's the only one that comes and goes ot of us all."
"Only him?" Kari asked, "Why?"
"Not sure, but that's not on my mind now." Lass said and stepped closer to her. "I got another question about reptiles like you." And the Matthew's hand stroked Kari's collar "It's kinda cold down here, need someone ta warm yeh up?"
Kari was shocked at what Lass was implying, but she pushed matthew's hand away. "I'm not Cold blooded."

The reason is looks rough and off is because she was draw MONTHS before the rest of the story, it was an art trade I did with Fuzzie. I thought of it just being a 12.5, but now it's cannon. Hope you all still like it and the story.
