They lead her to the forrest outside ASA University, deep through the woods to Fool's Pool, and they stood above the hole where water fed into the pool. Brian stopped pushing Kari and looked around. It was like looking over a crimescene. He could recall where everyone was and where everything happened.
Kari walked around the area. looked at the trees and the grass, and how it was pretty much like every part of the forest she was pushed through on the way here. "This is where you killed those orcs and beat up that behemoth?" She asked
Before Brian could asnwer, Matthew returned, hearing only the last answer "Behemoth?" and then he looked around the area startled "Wait, what are we doing here?"
Kari caught on quick as she saw his ears go down "Matthew, is that you?"
"Why are we here?" Matthew asked her
"Your other personalities wanted to show me something."
Mathew jolted back and looked around for his shadow.
"She should know," Brian said, "She ought to know what she's getting into."
"They all do!" Agreed Lass from within Matthew's head
"But we haven't told anyone else about this!" Matthew growled "Not even Jake, Sera or Tori!"
"What?" kari looked over his shoulder, "What's this you haven't told them?"
Matthew paused when he realised how much he was saying was too loud "Its... nothing...:
"Your other personalities think otherwise." Kari said, and then looked around the area, then stepped closer to the edge of Fool's Pool.
Matthew's ears lowered more, "If I tell you, you'd never look at me the same."
Kari stopped when he said that, and then she looked down into the hole "Something happened down there?"
"I don't want to tell you." Matthew said and looking her in the eye "Let's just go."
"Tell her for goodness sake!" Lass shouted "Tell 'er what happened?"
"Then don't tell me," Kari said "Show me."
"You can do that." Brain said beneath matthew "That dead body is bound to be down there.."
Matthew still paused, pondering what to do, but with a few seconds of Lass and Brian talking, he nodded and started walking.
Kari followed him to a passage that lead down into the cave. "Did you killed one of the orcs down this passage?"
Matthew shook his head and kept walking "From what Brian and Lass have said, I went down here by pushing the behemoth down the hole." Then he stepped into the water at the bottem of the pool.
"So you fought off the behemoth down here." Kari said, "That's pretty impressive, even dragons can't win against those."
"I didn't fight it." Matthew said and stopped beside the water fall.
"What do you mean?" Kari asked, but she got no answer, "Matthew?"
"Lad, tell her." Lass said, but she didn't get an answer either.
Matthew just stood there, looking at what was left.
Kari didn't see it at first, she had to stand next to him, then follow his muzzle. Then in the water, she saw something floating. It was bones and rotting flesh, her mouth opened a bit looking at it, making out what it was. It was a behemoth, her mouth opened more to realize it was dead. Then she gasped realizing the part of the corpse was missing. It was decapitated, head was roughly torn off, and she looked back at Matthew.
Matthew wasn't looking at her, he was looking down.
"W-what are you?" Kari asked as she looked back at the body..
"Now you get it." Matthew said, and then walked her way.
She backed away from him and got to the other side of him.
"I knew this would happen.." Matthew sighed to himself "Are you happy?"
Lass's image was distorted through ripples at the water by Matthew's legs, but he knew she was as upset as him.
They both new what was to come.
