A Scene commission I did for
Caervec :D
An illustration for a story he and his friend are working on.
This is a rendition of the first meeting between Iskaa and her first -and only- student, Azalf. Poor guy was lost in the woods after his former master, Alaghast, abandoned him to freeze in the winter snows. With wild wolves baying in the depths of the dark, it wasn't looking all that good until a warmly lit wagon rolled into view. A desperate flag-down and a strange inkling on her part led her to stop and begin what would be a very one-sided relationship (of a master-student quality) and a thrilling adventure. ©

It's aimed in a sort-of scattergunned manner at that time period, intending to fall somewhere in an anachronistic mix between the late Victorian and late Edwardian periods (when referring to English history), so something of a blend of styles and developments that happened generally around that 3 to 4-decade period leading up to the first World War. And of course, they're in a place resembling Eastern Europe.
