I was just kidding. I know the guys at Fleischers weren't hopheads. They were just using their chemically unenhanced imaginations. To be honest, I like what you drew in the old Talkartoons style, which was a mixture of Grim Natwick, Myron Waldman, Roland Crandell, and Al Eugster. You pulled it off nicely. better than what the Cuphead guys are doing. Your work looks like an organic whole, where theirs doesn't.

I'm barely scratching the surface on these oldies, thanks for the names, that's a lot of homework for me.
If there's one thing Cuphead did, is rekindle interest in the animation of that era.
Though I really love what they did in the game with the style. Makes me quite envious. x3

If you're interested in old animation, go to You Tube and watch the following Fleischer cartoons- SWING YOU SINNERS, BIMBO'S INITATION, MINNIE THE MOOCHER, BARNACLE BILL, HOT DOG, WISE FLIES, OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN, BETTY BOOP M.D., RED HOT MAMA, THE BUM BANDIT, MYSTERIOUS MOSE, and SNOW WHITE. I think you'll be enjoyably flabbergasted.
SWING YOU SINNERS, BIMBO'S INITIATION and MYSTERIOUS MOSE. Gonna watch the rest definitively. I also saw the Cinderella cartoon because I fondly remember the short from a VHS tape I used to watch when I was a little kid; the first color short of Betty Boop, If I'm not mistaking.
It was, shot in Cinecolor because Disney had exclusive rights to Three Strip Technicolor until 1936. Two other Color Classics I recommend you watch- DANCING ON THE MOON and THE KIDS IN THE SHOE. Also, take a look at BETTY BOOP'S PENTHOUSE- There's a monster in it that belongs in Cuphead.
