In the lengthy story penned by my awesome bud
rodneythedivinedevil , 0627 and a number of others from my universe have arrived for an unknown purpose. And it is there that 0627 actually managed to find love!
He and the maniacal hyena Letsego Viljoen tracked down some of their advanced technology to a tavern in Honolulu. As they left after recovering the item, the encountered a large lion physically assaulting his girlfriend, the 19 year old dolphin Katherine Simmons (Kat to her friends). Letsego may be a psychotic killer, but he cannot abide a woman being abused. But before he could do anything, 0627 stepped in. He lifted the lion a foot off the ground with his bare hands and threw him into a parked car. Kat was still shaken from the encounter, and so 0627 carried her off to get medical attention.
This was the start of a loving relationship between the dolphin and nanite-infused human. Finding out about his mangled condition from Letsego, Kat could see beyond 0627's hideous form to the struggling soul within. After several weeks of happy time spent together, Kat finally asked 0627 if she could see his face. 0627 was terrified, but finally agreed and took off his mask. She gasped at seeing it, more out of sympathy than revulsion. And then she kissed the damaged human on the face. It was the first time 0627 felt like a complete person. He felt...human.
And that brings us to the scene. The crew, along with several members of the Suits, find themselves at a private beach in Hawaii, belonging to a member of the Iron Bears (give you a hint, gray and lots of teeth). Enjoying a bit of sun and surf (and BBQ) before some violent business, Kat suggests that 0627 join in the fun...with swim trunks. 0627 almost never goes anywhere without his armor and mask, as he is truly self-conscious about his appearance. However, with the love and confidence of his lovely dolphin lover, he finally finds the will to do so.
And so 0627 shocks everyone by walking onto the beach in nothing but swim trunks, his lady by his side.
