Pushing through a busy period, and haven't had much time to photograph, so I'm going through a few of my older sets. Daylight beams in through a hole in the wall at the former Northampton State Hospital.

Many of your photographs look like formally-composed paintings with carefully-harmonized colours and textures; this one a provides a superb example.
I love the way those rusty browns are set up in the frame, the way the beam of light forms bright triangular wedges in between the darker forms of the oddly-angled rectangles....

Thought I'd tell you what i like about this pic so much =P
It looks like a painting. And I know it's a photo. Even so, my eyes keep looking for brush marks unconsciously XP I think it's how the furnature is arranged. And the dust.
I've been to alot of hospitals, never a dead one, though. Was this once a hospital or once a mental institution is the real question.
The peek of sunlight is really spiffy and I think the pic wouldn't be whole without it.
Random question you probably aren't asked often.. but what did that sorta area smell like?
