Probably one of my last serious pieces of work before I graduated from college, and it actually wasn't complete. Well in all honesty THIS is complete-- but this vignette was part of a much larger body of work which I've sort of fallen off the wagon about and I'm not sure if I'll ever return to it... or rather, pick it up fresh and do something completely NEW with it. I dunno.
This one is probably my most guiltiest pleasure of all my works though. Frank Frazetta, one of my many idols where I've absolutely ADORED his works which involved large, jungle cats-- and some of them just looked totally crazy.
This one in particular was inspired by this piece of his: http://cgmesh.com/upload/Mark_wip/B.....pellucidar.jpg
Straight up swanky and cool that one. And like so many others, I've sooo wanted to mimic that and a year ago I did.
I wish I could work with graphites like this again. Despite my fascination and enthusiasm with digital; there was a certain x-factor, a mystical property about traditional medium like pencils, ink and graphite which you simply cannot do with digital... or you can, but I reiterate again, the x-factor.
*siiigh* Maybe I'll come around to it again, maybe.
And uh... yea, Juju of course. Hahahaha!
