ilovecritique ilovecritiquei need serious help with this one. I love the idea of focusing on odd bits of mythological anatomy, such as this rather hefty centaur's "waist"—where his human and equine halves meet—but it seems to be...lacking something.

Interesting you, and another, say that. I don't quite see that, so I wonder why others do. Is it the semi-mane that looks kind of like the tuft under bulls, but inverted?
I'd say either add a more full mane, or DE-emphasize it, so there's little (horse)hair on the vertical back.
Or is it that the the fello has a bit of a belly (vertical) and big look is more bovine than equine, as equines tend to look rather thin and gangly in places... it's often a bit difficult to see how they stand up and run on those thin, by comparison, legs. Maybe an equine taur needs to be a bit more.. in shape.. for people to see it as such? Even though I'm sure there would be fatter centaurs as well as trim ones.
