Yeeee death claw :D awesome yet terrifying when you don't have a Gauss rifle or stealthboy

Haven't really played the Fallout series but I've seen clips and mods about it, and it is interesting.

I died many a time to them in nearly every game c': even the heaviest armor is whittled down. They are crazy fast and super aggressive. However they are also very intelligent. And in Fallout 2 (a pre-Bethesda game) are very capable of speech mimicry and even social interaction (an NPC in a cloak is a sentient death claw that temporarily joins the pc's party). And in other games are so intelligent they are capable of fabricating armor and mastered speech mimicry to the point of fully understanding languages given enough time to study. As for societal structures, they are very pack based and are mainly ruled by Alphaatriarchs (REALLY huge death claw momma's) and one alpha death claw male (not as big as the matriarch but omg still massive compared to other death claw). Their intelligence even when none sentient is apparent as when idle, the death claw keeps their claws sharp by rubbing them against eachother.

I apologize for the wall of information but death claw both terrify me in game and fascinate me to the point of having a fanfic include deathclaw lycanthropy via science conducted in a vault-tec vault because Vault-tec were not moral people
