Greetings and Good Day!
It pleases me to be the first to offer up some art for our TST page.
It's an interesting feeling, the solace and peace I can find in the embrace of ideals bigger than myself. I've never been one for "Commandments" or prescribed "Codes of Conduct", as such. Self-made spoken rules generally seem to exist only to be broken once circumstances prove too difficult or at the least, inadequately covered-
And yet, when I discovered the Seven Tenets, I was truly surprised to find a set of very basic core principles which weren't dependent upon submissiveness, a lack of assertiveness or a mythological figure telling me I wasn't good enough and that I deserved to suffer. Here were a set of very simple, very basic ideals which were actually more focused on simply being a good person to others, giving of yourself and forcing yourself to be kinder, smarter and show greater empathy.
I can get behind that. Though Baphomet may not hold me in her arms in a literal sense, these principles are very dear in me, holding me up at times when I would feel much happier being awful or just giving up all together.
May you find that solace yourself, in the trying times of our world, loves. ~AF
