My own Power Rangers group, using I *believe unused dino zords and some lesser used colors. The story here revolves around a young team who follows their antagonists through a rift in space time which ends on a distant planet. Stuff happens, and while the enemy is defeated, only 3 of the original team are able to escape, leaving 2 members stranded for nearly 30 years! In the present, 3 new rangers are chosen to save the remnants of the old team, only to find new enemies on the planet they had thought to be uninhabited!
Sullivan, the silver ranger with a Quetzalcoatlus zord. Koji, the violet ranger with a Kentrosaurus zord. Muna, the green ranger with a Spinosaurus zord. Zahid, the Orange ranger with a Chasmosaurus zord. Curtis, the blue ranger with a Liopleurodon zord.

That sounds cool! I'm actually not a big fan of the shows, they tend to feel a little samey to me, based on the 4 or 5 series I've watched. BUT, I do really enjoy certain themes like the team aspects, the big monsters, cool zords, eclectic groups of characters, etc. I used to answer casting calls to be in the background in some Angel Grove scenes in the original North American show because it was filmed in my city! :P
I don't know what a gorilla ranger is. A zord? But these are all prehistoric. : /
No given leader on this team. Red was purposefully done away with and Silver's ptsd makes it difficult to take on the role. You're right, there are other rangers, 3 to be exact, although their current statuses and whereabouts are unknown.

Yep. the idea is that an alien invasion has occured! oh noez! oh but wait, these aliens are...making talks with world diplomats to become allies? What? the diplomats are lead by a monster who claims to only wish to help humanity. He's sincere and honest...the twist is that the higher ups, are actually ploting to take over the earth with subterfouge and deception! but when something sneaky like that happens, its up 2 the four power rangers to defend the earth!
