Took a few hours to draw something for myself today. This is my D&D 2nd Edition (otherwise known as AD&D) character, Dio. He's a member of a family of assassins known as the 'Kingslayers' (the reason behind that should be obvious) who rose to prominence by taking a major role in overthrowing a particularly tyrannical Lord in their province. Though essentially murderers for hire, the Kingslayers consider themselves freedom fighters, Anti-Fascists and in some cases, the last resort for the oppressed.
Dio is a bit of a release valve character for me. D&D is a great place to blow off some steam when the real world is a frustrating mess ;)
Dio is Dual-Classed, Thief 3 / Fighter 2 currently, but that will change as the game progresses

oooooh old school AD&D player, huh? That's what I grew up playing. Even knew a guy that had a first-print-edition of Deities and Demigods, with the Melnibonéan and Cthulhu mythos sections. and I just recently got the player and DM guides for doing Forgotten Realms in AD&D, though I haven't had time to try them out. Hell, haven't really looked through them yet, what with all the college work.
I think my favorite story was "when the gnome died for a while" because apparently my ice sword deflected fire, like dragon breath, right towards the party gnome. My sister had to sit there, glaring at me the whole time, as we fought these two dragons, until our dad, the DM, pulled a little retcon with his character's wish sword (we were like 9 and 12).
