not at all confused about why so called conservatism would want to make and keep them useless.
most things these days are sold by weight, the size of the container is mostly there for emotional reasons,
but i will have to consceed, most things in nature have names just as unpronouncable as those concocted in some lab.
then again, if the list of ingreedients is three times as long as what you thought you were getting,
odds are pretty good at least some of them are there for reasons other then your health and nutrition.
hating logic and making everything have to be about money, sure doesn't make anything in life 'simple'.
