A simple character reference sheet for my new maneki neko character, yet to be named (I'm thinking either "Sushi," or "Tomiko" meaning "fortune/wealth child").
I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY wanting to make this into a full fursuit, and the coin at the top left of the page will be a giant plush (the dotted lines in the center will be stitch marks in the fabric).
The dark grey will be black, and the lighter grey will be orange. The collar is red with white sakura flower designs, and the "bib/scarf" will be green with gold trim. (According to wiki, the bib/scarf is a traditional Japanese collar decoration from the Edo period. "The bib might also be related to the bibs often decorating statues of the divinity Jizō Bosatsu. Protective statues of Jizō can be found guarding the entrances to Japanese shrines and graveyards. Jizō is the protector of sick and dying children and grateful parents of children recovered from illness will place a bib around Jizō as a gift of thankfulness.")
