This is part of the opening sequence of stories that lead into the series that is my Tales of Silmaria. Some of you may be familiar with this one, becaise I posted its original here at the following link a number of months back.

However, through all the help I have gotten from everyone, I am now going back and re-organizing the series so that it can not only make more sense, but also be more fitting toward the tween / sub-tween audience in which I hope to see these books being enjoyed by.
Unlike Captain Scuttles that was entirely written in the new style, or Friends From Afar that had the benefit of being written late in the series while I was finishing my Masters Degree, this one required a bit more love in order to make feasible. I hope those of you who read it find it just as enjoyable as the previous two samples of my beloved series that I have shared.
At this time, I'd like to send out a very special thank you to
nishi for all of his unwavering support in driving me to push myself toward this goal. His insights, honest comments, and thoughtful works have played a humongous part in getting me to this point and I can't express enough about how truly amazing of a creative force that he is.
SPECIAL NOTES:
This part of the series was written initially back on February 13th, 2003 and was initially a test to see if I could write a whole story in one sitting. Furthermore, as the next day was Valentine's Day, and I couldn't be with my girlfriend, who is now my wife, I needed a way to vent all the thoughts I had about the holiday since having her become a part of it.

I hereby declare Happy Day today! It's official!
It's like a Mother's and Father's day all bundled in one with a little bit of Valentine's for extra love :3
This was a very cute read! A great children's book and/or cartoon. I always imagine something like Hamtaro going on when I read your stories...in a good way, of course!
You should publish then read these to your son every night! :D

Thank you, Ham-Ham. Actually, if I never succeed at getting published, I at least hope that my son will enjoy my works as he gets old enough to enjoy longer stories beyond the 10 page picture book.
As for Hamtaro, I actually initially wrote these works around the time that it was on TV along with other inspirational programs Pocket Dragon Adventures and Dragon Tales. The concept of presenting a solid story without the use of anger, violence, and/or explosions is more my style and seeing programs like that succeed inspired me to press on with my work. Yup, yup, yup!

Thanks, Kaffre. My ultimate hope for this story is that, especially for older readers, to establish that holidays like Valentine's, Mother's, and Father's Day are more than just commercialized holidays. :) Too many people are quick to denounce a day in which forces us to remember that, despite our implicit love, it is sometimes neccessary to show someone just how much you care in a more explicit way. :) Oopa!
