They only listened though, Then a rifle went off like a crack of thunder, and a building exploded into flames. Everyone was thrown away by the concussion, but the soldiers closest to the buildings were engulfed in flames. They're screams began shortly after the burst of flame, but that's all it was. People tried to run from the buildings, but another one exploded too. Some of them still managed to get up, but they were gunned down.
"Everyone, get to cover!" Dante shouted and ran for a behind on of the buildings.
"We need cover, Lauren!" Deathless shouted as he looked for where they shots came from.
Lauren stayed low to the gruond and slowly build a short, thick barrier of ice in front of her.
Then, from around a corner, Dante saw a truck starting to roll up. "Soldiers, fall back! behind us!" He aimed his grenade launcher, but then the sights were blown off and he ducked back in cover.
Circuit looked at the truck from cover and shot a few times, but it still rolled out with an amalgamate of heavy machine guns on the back a gun that fired a spray of bullets at the speed of a sub-machine gun. She kept shooting, but the thing shot back with rounds that ate away at the corner. She saw a soldier with a bleeding arm trying to take a peak, and looking to her for a chance to get away. She stopped out again and shot an entire mag at the truck. it tired to fire back, and the soldier made a run.
"Just jam the gun!" Foresight shouted,and then shot a few times at the truck.
The gunner saw who else was shooting, and then the unarmed soldier in between. He let the machine gun fire as it changed targets, it turned away from Circuit sent a line of bullets through the retreating soldiers. Circuit watched from cover as one of the men she had to save was falling to the ground, a failure that sank inside her, she started to freeze up.
"D##n it, Circuit!" Foresight shouted and shot the driver of the truck "You have to jam that machine gun, I can't get close!!"
Circuit still was frozen, even when the building next to her exploded and the flames were inches from her ears.
"Come on." Foresight growled and ran out. She dodged the first few shots, and got knicked in the knee as she shot both pistols at the gunner, finally throwing the guy off the back of the truck.
"Dante!" Sue Shouted over the comes "They're everywhere! They're trying to box us in!'
Foresight looked around and saw more of the trucks driving around with other unusual gun on the back of them. Her ears dropped and she ran for cover by Circuit
She grabbed her tightly "Circuit!" she got no response "Circuit, get your head together!"
She still didn't respond, and past the glass, it looked like there were tears in her eyes.
"Snap out of it," Foresight said "We need you! Listen to me!"
Still no answer.
"F##k," She growled to herself then opened coms "Something's wrong with Circuit Grit, she's frozen stiff."
"I'll send Tessa over, Just get the soldiers back to the APCs," Dante shouted "We're being pinned and Shadow can't find the sniper."
She looked to Circuit Grit again, and then just ran off, leaving her stiff among the ashes and flames.
