I was not happy yet with the eyes so I reworked them. There are no eyelashes on them, and the fur color is too even so it could still be better but frankly I am now tired of the head and will set it aside for a while to work on hands and feet.
The one thing that always works better in drawings is fake lighting. In this specific view, you can't see any specular highlight on the cornea (but a bit of mirroring), nor is there any accentuating light on the lower part of the iris, which may not be realistic but I like it. You can paint it in, but in 3D it's a pain to achieve; it's just not realistic so you'd have to cheat with special lights or add it in post.
The iris here is actually not flat so I could add fake lighting, but I am not sure whether I should. Decades of huge anime-like eyes with pronounced specular highlights in furry comics and art have warped my taste
(Also, yes, these are not fox eyes. More like husky. But you can change the iris color and pupil shape easily enough. The iris itself looks complicated but is in truth only a dozen layers with mostly radial hand drawn wiggly lines with some radial blur and smudged shading. You can't even make out the cute li'l golden specks.)
