Well technically you're not paying for just a "head".. If you want to see your character in an Archer Outfit shooting an arrow then that's what you're paying for? So its more like half its entire body o: ? ... So I don't see it as rough to ask when they put so much work into the painting overall? I just wonder how they'll put someone's face in it if its any species. Like, its already painted so i think itll be difficult as heck o-o
Yes, you understand correctly. thank you. :)
I don't have problems to show any species. I just as I can change the body type. or change the position of the hand that it does not closed head. if this will want to the customer. oil - a paint, which allows you to make any changes in the picture.

Yea, definitely the case since you don't have to look around or make anything up when it comes to wanting your character in an Archer outfit :)
My point about "just the head" is more that the artist could have done whatever they feel like when it doesn't comes to the character so YOU only step into the drawing when it comes to your character head.
For example selling a, i don't know let's say generic 300 $ phone, it has no value than any other phone but the manufacturer says "hey, if you pay 80 $ plus on this phone I'll put a small nametag on the bottom of it for you"
For the same price you could have a phone or a painting where everything is drawn and designed the way you like it meaning you have no participation in that painting except of you putting 120 $ in for your head.
yet again, while writing that comment it doesn't feel so much of a big deal to be honest. Ok 120 $ still tough but alone the fact that you get a original canvas home has a lot of value and SatynaPaper is a great painter :)
Not trying to argue the price down or anything, I mean gee I'd be happy for satynaPaper and the person who gets the final piece! Just a thought/concern I felt like sharing ^^;

Well I mean, There's always the option of not commenting or buying if you feel the price is too high? oAo; I mean if you aren't gonna even buy it then it is no point in bothering with all of this right?
The artist can do as they please, and if they want to sell something like this then by all means they can and you can just wish them luck to be polite?
Like I said, Whoever buys it could be wanting exactly what they're offering.
Then again the person could also be a fan of Assassins creed or Robin hood and want to look like them in this portrait?
So eh I dont know what to tell you lol xD

Thank you for support. I really appreciate it.
This whole situation allowed me to look at my work a little differently. :)
If this YCH is not bought, I'll just finish this painting for myself. :)
When I was painting this art I could smell the grass. It was magical...

See, I don't actually agree with your assessment there. I too am kind of questioning the price tag for such a small addition for someone's character. While I did not say anything myself; there are most likely other people that agree with my sediment here as well.
An artist CAN do whatever they want, you are absolutely right. You can make a panting, completely done and charge someone $100 to have their name in a nameplate at the bottom. The point he was getting at was that it did not seem that right in terms of the price. When you tried to make him out as a jerk for simply pointing something out, you instead looked like someone who is completely intolerant of other people's opinions. Nahyon simply put his opinion out there and this comment I am responding to is "Don't like it? Shut up and go away." Which in itself is not really the way to go about things.
For SatynaPaper, it might be a good idea to not /almost/ finish the picture then simply ask for that much money to add someone's face into it. Just like I was talking about in the last paragraph about finishing an art piece then asking for money. It looks like you really wanted to draw a scene and then at the very end said: "You know what? I can get money by adding just a face in."
At the end of the day, ASMArtist IS correct though, it IS your prerogative to draw and conduct your business however you want. But with the same coin, you may not always see the other side and when people point out things, it might be a good idea to take them into consideration. Your regular YCH's are FANTASTIC, the artwork is not yet drawn, so the progress people really are paying for is to see the artwork come to life.

I understood your opinion on this issue. And I'll take it into account in my future YCH.
But I do not quite agree with you. The customer pays for the whole picture, not just for the face.
As I understand it, if it was a commission describing "I want my character in such a suit and in such a landscape" there would not be any questions?
By the way, people buy traditional art with random animals / people / landscapes because it's beautiful. :)
And I don't think this price is high for oil half body.

Hi, I understand your anger. But customer pays not only for the head. :)) this price for suit and landscape too. this price per already made work. this is an opportunity to see his character in a specific landscape and in particular clothing.
of course, I could show the character naked, but here I want to make the emphasis on the atmosphere of painting.
as well traditional painting allows you to hang atmospheric picture of the House and enjoy it. :)
