During free time I have tried to make a working character model and a rig for it. Was very pleased with results. I remember when I used to make animated models for Quake I and Half-Life 1/2. All I have to say about it - now the situation is just SO MUCH EASIER and there is so much freedom in choices regarding skeleton system of the model and its animation. It's just much more enjoyable now and there's no nightmare stuff like violent restrictions in old engines. Two images at the top are shots from Unreal Engine 4 (the engine is actually much more simple to understand than it may seem at the first try). At the moment I am thinking about making a short 3d animated movie on free time, it's definitely achievable with my current skills and will be a very interesting thing to do.
