Possibly the closest I've come to having an anthro persona.
I've worked on a couple comic projects and several stories where the anthro Dragon main character, usually named Jason, or Justin, shares a lot of his personality with myself around about the time I was in high school.
In a way, I guess I must pity my younger self, since poor Jason is a quiet, contemplative, inoffensive person, yet he always gets brought into situations that force him out of his physiological comfort zone and break down all his walls.
In a way, he mirrors a quote I picked up from Alain Resnais’ film “Mon Oncle D’amerique”:
“What we call an individual’s “personality” is built upon a grab-bag of value judgments, prejudices and platitudes which, as he grows older, become more and more rigid, less and less subject to question. Remove a single stone from this edifice and it all crumbles, resulting in anguish."
While I don't see Jason as rigid or inflexible, his "personality" is built upon a weave of platitudes and personal assurances, and when they're challenged - he falls apart.
