There might be a possible story to tell regarding this piece, but I am still working on the kinks of which part of the timeline to set the first story.

This is a depiction of a Vox dwelling in Vozhna. From the ceiling, a painted map of Vozhna's river systems are depicted (which seem to jut out surrealistically). The shield on the left side is a common symbol for Vozhna Engineers.

The Vox in the forefront is Dardann (nicknamed 'Dan'). Vilippa who is the matriarch of the family and his second mother, appears in the background. Hundreds of years before the sky-ships and rail-runners came to dominate societies, Voxes lived more traditionally in their country. Only those who would come to be named 'The Amberists' chose to migrate away to the technologically advantageous society existing in places like Maji. Dan seeks to join his mechanically-minded kin, whilst hoping to hold onto the traditions his mothers and fathers taught him from a younger age. A tense caution permeates the air of politics however. Between the states, an unspoken deterioration in relations is unraveling, caused by the illness of the Hegemon of Maji.
