so this was a fun one
Gideon Bnuuy told me a few weeks ago he'd become very drawn to phantom from the new mario + rabbids game. i was kinda apprehensive myself at first, if i'm honest, since i was a childhood rayman fan and staunchly of the opinion that rabbids almost killed a series i loved a lot
but the more i've seen of mario + rabbids the more i've been sort of won over by it - it seems to have a really charming sense of humor and the overall optimism of mario i think has toned down the more annoying aspects of the rabbids and...look, phantom's cute okay. his mario diss track is really good
so come this round of commissions, he requests a TF into phantom, which like, yeah, totes up for, and then he suggested putting myself in the story as well, tfing into, really, the most natural counterpart for a character like phantom
most of the focus goes to the phantom TF here, so there isn't a whole lot of jasper until the end. i did intend to write an original song for phantom and jasper to sing at each other, trading insults until they realize that maybe they aren't so different after all, but...writing song lyrics is tough, and it would've broken the page limit. regardless, i hope you enjoy it, i had a lot of fun writing it!
