Tatyana Tushenko sketch poses 1
Not that I needed the motivation, but I was inspired by
Winstar's recent picture of Tatyana and I decided that I'd been busy enough recently that I wanted to spend some time drawing what I wanted. I took to practicing Tatyana once again and tried to really get the design down. This offered a challenge in that her body shape changes depending on the scene and what sort of action she's performing. It was really hard giving her legs a proper stubby shape, so these aren't fully accurate, but they were fun to do! I'll probably be revisiting some of these poses when I do another art card for the Animalympics series.

Issue I had with the original design was that I felt those small legs wouldn't be able to carry all that weight. Despite ya know being a cartoon the design looked incomplete and as you demonstrated here the longer legs made it more complete. I really like what you did here.
I really wanted to keep here with short legs... but... it just feels better when they're longer. The poses have more grace and lightness to them. In some cases I do feel like I got them too long and she appears lanky and not as much weasley as I think she should. I rationalize it though that since her torso is super stretchy and bendable then why not her legs too? I'm very pleased you like the result! I'd be delighted to see you draw her again as well!
