The "reminds me of death" thing was a quote from a film I saw years ago...
House keeper: What's that?
Aristocrat: It's a memento Mori.
House keeper: Oooh, I don't like that much, it reminds me of death.
For those that don't quite get it, I should explain that a "memento mori" is a reminder that you will die.
