Who remembers Altered Beast? (After hearing the voice samples from the game, who could forget it?) This is a piece of music that I wrote soon after first getting into tracking, as a group of my friends were into classic games and one of the favourites was Altered Beast. After having heard some of my other efforts at songwriting, someone suggested that I put this together.

The introduction to the song and the first half of the organ section follow the tunes from the first level and cut-scenes of the game, but the rest is original. It's a more synth-rock kind of thing that includes three samples from the game - I intended to parody the sampled dance tracks that I'd heard that just repeated and split up one vocal sample again in different ways.

This was written in 2000, I think. Tomorrow I might even get around to submitting some of my new material...
