This is a concept for the upcoming Space Age of the forum-based roleplay World of Feila, in which people may roleplay anthroes in a futuristic setting. Some of the artworks I do for it end up getting ditched if I can do better, but I like this one.
This is the IYN Hiryu, the warship I posted the designs of recently, a space-going battleship that is part of the recent history of the roleplay. As I mentioned on the designs, her main role in history was to be shelled critically during battle, after which she fell into the gravitational pull of Feila, circling the planet for about 14 hours before re-entering the atmosphere, and crashing into the sea off the coast of the country of Edwin. Here she is shown when the main bulk of her begins to take on water at the head, making her engines lift out of the water. They're still extremely hot, hence all the steam. One of them is still marginally operational, though spitting out jets of fire. There are several fires on the superstructure, and off to the right you can see large chunks of debris that came off during re-entry.
This piece might look a little odd when taking into account that the design I put up earlier showed she had an enormous keel under her. In fact, the shelling in space caused an explosion that nearly tore the whole thing off. It can be presumed it fell off during re-entry, and landed somewhere nearby.
