Good work as usual, but for some reason this place feels a tad flatter than usual, as if there's normally more depth to a picture like this but this one is a bit lacking in details.

Hey, I may be completely wrong here, as when it comes down to it, art IS perspective, just this specific piece seems to lack at least a bit of the detail that I'm used to from her art.

Nothing about this person's comments comes across as bashing or backhanded to me. It just looks like regular criticism, and I believe you may have mistaken their tone for being harsher than they intended it to sound.
If anything, I think Star herself is more than capable of defending herself if she disagrees with Kitu's statements. Her preferences on dealing with criticism may differ from yours.

To be a tad more specific, some bits seem to have a bit less detail or seem to not quite blend in with the majority of the piece. Again, may just be me here, but the head of the primary sub seems to clash a bit with the overall aesthetic of their outfit. This may be entirely intentional but it's just something that stood out to me looking at this piece.
The dom character's face also stands out as a bit flatter than usual, but that may be because the focal point is the sub and the detail is given more to them as a result.
