THE SHORT STORY
I managed to get together enough money at the begining of summer to buy tickets to go see some friends in England. It's the first time I'm traveling solo and the first time I've paid for a big trip myself with money to spare. It would've been wonderful, but surprice bills and me being a massive idiot miscalculating ate into it. Further bills shrunk the good sum of cash down to juuuust enough for local travel and maaaaybe some spending moneys. BUT THEN my mum was hit with some late taxes that apparently had been calculated wrong last year (not our fault, we did it right, gov fucked up) and so we had to pay them this november. That along with me having to go to more medical exams for my dodgy stomach and more shit to pay in October, meant that if I didn't make some cash quick what was left of my budget would have to go to those nice surprises and we'd still be in the red. Fortunatelly I've made enough money (in large part thanks to me friends) with the streams and coms to have a decent sum to pay for the taxes and alll that shit but also a bit to have fun with in England. I'll still be working hard once I come back home, but for these three weeks I'll actually relax and not worry about it too much. Not that I wont take some time to work, it just won't occupy my time as much.
