'O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.'

Painting (all Lineless, baby!) featuring Sniper, the Kestrel Dutch Angel Dragon!
So before I begin, I suggest you pause what you're doing right now and go listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qu5RY94ldDc
So this piece was directly inspired by this song. *points up* I'd actually been working on a Reference Sheet at the time, this track came on, and I was like 'Oh man, my primary just got changed.' *makes a 180*
Inspired by this piece, I wanted to show more of Sniper's 'ethereal' side. I draw him so often interacting and going about his business on Terra, he still has a foot in the Aether as well! Playing off the lighter notes of the music.
Also, perchance Sniper looks a bit different in this piece? I so often draw him as very, very Avian. Indeed, as I wanted to portray more of his Equine features showing through! Little-known fact, Sniper's Equine physiology is based off that of the Lipizanner horse! Again, playing off the music and my experience growing up with horses, (musical freestyles, ah!) and a Lipizanner stallion, I wanted that to shine through - muscle-packed, buff, but dainty ponies honing their skills to beautiful music~
Dainty ponies who could definitely kick you into last week, heh. One swipe of Sniper's paws here would send you tumbling into the Abyss. B)

Wow, I love this!!! I immediately noticed the more horse like appearance, and then when I listened to the song I could better see the mood you were going for, which is just awesome. Every time I looked at this I saw and appreciated more detail. Truly, stunning. Your paintings never fail to take my breath away.
