Thanks. I believe the entire thing is made of solid granite. There was also another just a walks distance from this one that had an eagle on the top.

Well the statue is including the dedication on the front. But the entire structure itself is probably granite.

*shrugs* I dunno for sure. When I drive through that area I do exactly that, drive through, because I'm usually going to a specific spot, then when I'm done I usually drive up to the mall. So this was probably the first time I was actually walking the streets. But, when it's not raining for at least a day I might park down there and walk about the streets for a while. It's a different perspective when you're on the side walks and not blowing by them in your car. :3
