Commission for
Kamuniak, thank you very much! I've drawn several bats in my life but this was definitely the first time I drew an anthropomorphic one. Which is good because I feel like I've learned a couple of new things thanks to this!

I completely forgot about Furaffinity for a couple of days, but logging in to new see art by you was such a wonderful thing! Those wings are absolutely magnificent! I'm especially impressed by how consistent your line work is on the "fingers". Inking long, straight(ish) shapes like that is very difficult for me, haha. The background on this piece gives me that lovely 'fall' feeling. The colour of the sky is somewhat subdued here - I can almost feel a chill in the air just by looking at it! The shape of those apples is so fun <3 They're lumpy instead of perfectly round, which I appreciate! Now it's time to reveal which details I'm obsessing over in this picture: 1) Kamuniak's left thumb! I can't quite place my finger (ha) on what it is I find so appealing about it; I think it's how perfectly you drew the joint! 2) The kink in that tree branch adds some interesting negative space between it and the bat's wing. I can't stop marveling over it!! And 3) That teeeeeeny-tiny wrinkle above the character's leg. I don't know why, but it was one of the first things I noticed :D This is definitely one of my new favourite drawings by you <3
Long, straight lines are extremely tough for me to ink as well - I usually have my stabilizer set to the maximum, so thankfully I don't have to struggle with them that much! I can't believe I used to work without any stabilizer for so many years. Now I use it all the time :D
I'm impressed you're able to notice such tiny differences in my colouring! This was, indeed, intended to have a somewhat colder atmosphere because the commissioner is from Finland :) Good eye!
Haha, ohh my, I'm glad you listed all of those details here because you've essentially pointed out everything I enjoyed drawing the most! Thank you SO much for yet another awesome comment <3
