I never saw this type of bug before. Can anybody make out what this bug is? I found it in my room with one leg laying on the ground.

Could be a new breed of cricket? Or some ant queen and an cricket cross breed somewhere. Or it's just a rare bug? No clue lol. Could you tell Vera to check this out please?

MAYBE it would work if you get an HQ shot or something with better resolution because the quality of these pictures just sucks.

I know this pics sucks. But i don't have another camera, i only got my mobile phone camera that's sucky i know. Besides i lost the bug a while ago. It was still half alive and my dad wanted me to put it back into the wild. I wanted to keep it in a box.

Can't tell much from the pics...but look up Parktown Prawn on google images and see if its that.

I'd vote on it being a member of Thelyphonida, though it is hard to be sure based on the photo quality. The common name is "Whip Scorpion."

If you could give some more info about it it might be helpful:

Was it still alive when you found it?
Did it make any sounds?
Did it make any smells?
What area do you live in? A general idea would be helpful. State/country/continent.. what kind of habitat as well.

Well it was alive, didn't made any sounds or smells. I live in south africa, 2 hours away from cape town on the coast. When it was dying vomit snot greenish stuff came out of his mouth.

Then not a whip scorpion, I don't think. There is only one species in Africa and I think the wiki said it is an introduced species.

I would agree but it seems kinda spindly for a mole cricket. Aren't they more tough and tanky?

It doesn't seem to be a Jerusalem cricket nor a mole cricket. And it's also not any kind of a scorpion. It didn't had that tail.

hmmm, it's kind of hard to tell from the photos :< if you could sketch it out perhaps, or get a clearer shot it might help, but im geussing it's long gone XD
