Xavier and Malcolm (Character Bio)
Now that they’ve had a good chance to shine, here’s the character info for Xavier Hunter and his mate Malcolm Hackett.
Xavier Hunter: Growing up in the rural part of the Meadowlands as part of a pack of seven, Xavier always knew he was somewhat ‘different’ than his brothers. Although just like them he had a strong sense of right and wrong, and a desire to protect others, he was never a rough and tumble wolf. He always preferred to wage his battles with words, and less concerned with stepping into a brawl and more so with discovering the source and stopping the problem from ever reoccurring. With his interest in the art of law in his adolescence came a craving for culture and sophistication, and he spent his teenage years devoted not only to his studies, but losing his perceived simpleton sounding way of speaking the rest of his family had fostered. It was also around this time that unlike his brothers, he discovered his interest in potential mates was considerably more masculine in nature. His family was quite accepting, aside from Yuri using Xavier’s coming out as more fuel for his arsenal of jibes. After graduating law school he began an internship at the prestigious legal firm Fienstag and Goldram San Francisgoat, where he quickly found himself placing the greatest of his efforts in cases regarding discrimination. His hard work, determination, and stellar case verdict record would eventually see him rise through to the rank of partner. Now the name Hunter is featured prominently featured upon the side of his office building along with his former bosses.
Malcolm Hackett: Much like Xavier, Malcolm life began on a farm, in a small rural town somewhere in the San Furnando Valley. His early years were spent as an only Pup, but later his parents would end up giving him three sisters which he would dote over almost as sweetly as his own Mother and Father. It was also in those same early years he developed a love of cooking, starting with helping his Mother in the kitchen to eventually the young Red Wolf testing his own skills in county competitions and fairs. This only strengthened his resolve, and in his teen years he began to plan out eventually owning his own diner. It was also during his teen years he discovered he was gay, and after much deliberating with his very accepting sisters on how best to tell their parents, he was delighted to find they were completely fine with it. Well, almost. The wolf could tell they were at least slightly disappointed that he wouldn’t be giving them Grandpups. Put the pair proved even more supportive when the wolf revealed his plans to use his squirreled away contest earning to open a start up diner in the city. With a few more years of saving and earning, the wolf was off to the city of San Francisgoat to open up ‘Malcolm’s Eats.”. It was there he would eventually meet Xavier, who started frequenting the place on his way home from work every evening. It took a great deal of time for Malcolm to test the waters and eventually muster the courage to ask the legal wolf out, which the wolf was quick to agree to as long as Malcolm cooked the meal. Of course, all that cooking left the wolf a little on the chubby side which only made him seem that much more of a big squishy mush of a wolf. He persists that it is only natural, and is often quick to point out that “If you got a fat chef cooking fer ya, then ya’ll know the food is good!”
Little long in the tooth this time. But I covered everything I needed. And now, back to writing!
