(You're just getting into the mood for summer? Our summer is on its way out, and the overall weather has been so cool yet again this year it almost feels like we never got out of spring and are heading straight into fall.)

I think it's a mixture of both. She is a little short and the tree is rather huge. Although I do know that apple trees usually don't grow that big (at least not the ones I know), I decided to go for some artistic freedom here. But thank you anyway. :)

(Right, I only mentioned this on Twitter and forgot to write it in the description here - I painted this piece sometime earlier this year. Late spring, I think. And I think it's been very hot and humid this year, so I can't agree on not having had a proper summer. :'))

Just a little, though. :) I used to be (and still am, in fact) a total tomboy, although I enjoyed the pears and plums more than I did the apples that grew in my grandparents' garden. ;)
