I like the idea, but the gag would never hold in place.

How's that?

Tension would simply pull the strap at the front closer to the eyes. Therefor it would hang loose already.
While much less likely, the neck-strap could slip over the ears with a little bit of effort. However, that is only if the thing isn't secured around the neck, I can't tell for certain whether that is the case or not.

Either way, while it wouldn't just fall out, it would hang loose inside the mouth as mentioned.
