It honestly annoys me how sometimes I can get an idea stuck in my head when I'm struggling to do something else and until I get this idea down I cannot focus on something else. That is truthfully how this idea came about.
It's mostly nice and simple really, just a little scene involving a rehearsal for a film. Whether it's big budget or a home movie, that's up to you.
The other things I need to do will be done soon. I really am trying.

Drums were pounding, creating the uncomfortable rumble of the scenario at hand. The guillotine stood there, blade raised with the rope nailed down to keep the blade raised. The drums kept beating, the tension was building up. Near the stairs leading up to the guillotine a wooden cart stood, inside the cart stood a Minccino, paws tied behind her back by a rope so she couldn't move them. Next to her stood a Pachirisu, though the Pachirisu was wearing a black hood to obscure the facial features.
The drum kept playing and the doors to the wooden cart opened up. Led by the Pachirisu, the Minccino had to walk, out of the cart and along a slow, daunting walk to the sound of the drums. Up the stairs the two went, right to the guillotine. While climbing the Minccino looked around, despite where she was being led to she had a brave face on. The two stopped, just before the guillotine. The Pachirisu opened the stocks, a secure lock on the stocks was there to secure a head. "Any last words? Address the crowd with them."
The Minccino turned to look out, from the Guillotine and out over the surroundings. Still her calm expression showed, despite the tense and deadly situation in front of her. She finally spoke. "While I cannot turn back the clock, I hereby wish those affected by my actions can find it in their heart to forgive. My foolish actions and their consequences should serve as a warning. Please, may nobody walk down the same path I walked."
With her words done, the Pachirisu held onto her shoulders. Now she was push down, her neck placed in the brace of the stocks and then the stocks were closed and locked. Instinctively, the Minccino did a test wriggle, only confirming that she couldn't move, however she stopped her attempts. Now her head was secured, her arms were untied. A small white cloth was put in her paw, to which she understood. "Wait for the sign." She spoke solemnly and rose the paw holding that piece of cloth.
The drumming continued and the hooded Pachirisu now held onto the rope which was securing the guillotine blade. With a swift movement the Pachirisu also kicked away the nail which was holding the rope in place. The drumming stopped abruptly and a split second later the Minccino closed her eyes and dropped the cloth she was holding. That was the cue, the Pachirisu dropped the rope and let the blade fall.
There was a dull thunk, the guillotine blade had hit the bottom and the blade met wood, cleaving right through the target. There wasn't even a cry or a whimper when the blade fell Then another thunk as the head of the Minccino fell down, into a bucket ready below the guillotine. A single blow had done it. The Pachirisu reached into the bucket and lifted up the Minccino head by the tuft of fur on her forehead. The deed was done and now the Pachirisu was showing off the results.
The head still held the Pachirisu showed the decapitated Minccino head off and around. The drumming had stopped and now there was an eerie silence going across the entire area. After about 15 seconds had pass with this silence the head of the Minccino opened up her eyes. Something was wrong, in her mind at least. "Uh, Kilik, was there meant to be a silence for this long?" Her voice was now much brighter and despite no longer having a head she seemed fine.
The Pachirisu, now named Kilik used its other paw to lift up its hood. Now he was seen to be a male Pachirisu and he looked just as confused. "There.... shouldn't be a silence Patricia." Kilik adjusted how he was holding Patricia's head, now he was cradling it in both his paws. He stepped down from where the guillotine was, down the stairs. He went with Patricia's head around the now revealed to be empty room towards a control panel hidden behind the wooden cart to a control panel, but there were no lights on it. "Did this all shut off?"
Walking up to the control panel, Kilik tapped a button with his tail. However there was no response from the machine no wonder how much he tried. Patricia rolled her eyes and sighed. "OF all the times to freeze. It better not do this when we're actually filming you know." The tone of frustration was obvious in her voice. Kilik sighed again though, venting similar frustrations.
"I'll have to call out the engineer again to fix this. It may have overloaded or crashed. And we're so nearly done too." Kilik started to walk back to the guillotine and up the stairs. By now Patricia's body was no longer laying down motionless She was sitting up by the guillotine and resting against it, one paw idly feeling through the rope which had held up the blade before. She soon began to pull on the rope to bring the blade up again, which made Kilik smile. He put Patricia's head down, to which she giggled.
"No, drop me back in the bucket, okay?" She winked at Kilik when he looked to her. He nodded back and he used his tail to lift the stocks open. Slowly he was laying his head in the opening, but before he let go of the stocks with his tail, he reached his paws forward. Smiling to Patricia, he dropped her head into the bucket below. Even back in the bucket she was still smiling, looking much more cheerful compared to before.
"I would say wait for the sign, but right now you couldn't see it at all." With a laugh, Kilik now let the stocks fall and secure him, though they weren't locked. Patricia couldn't accurately see from her position to lock it, so instead she waited until she saw the stocks fall into place. Then she let go of the rope, she watched the guillotine blade fall down back into place. Like it had done before, the blade fell with a thunk and the cut was even. Kilik's head fell down into the bucket with her, at which she closed her eyes and nuzzled against him.
Her body laid down with the headless body of the Pachirisu and from behind she wrapped him in a hug. She purred when Kilik's tail curled around her and held her close to him. She smiled when she even heard him purring and felt his head nuzzle back against hers. Though she wasn't opening her eyes and neither was Kilik. "We can do more rehearsals tomorrow, just silent until we get our soundboard fixed."
"Alright. For now, I just want to relax." The Minccino settled, though she wasn't asleep she had her eyes closed and she enjoyed the close contact between her and Kilik. She purred in unison with him by this point and her smile grew. It had been a bit of a hard day of rehearsing but she knew in her mind and heart they were almost done. Soon they could get to the post production.
