I am lost in ways I can’t explain.
I figure in my head we both have our own pain.

You wish for me to leave your life, leave your side.
You fear the future and you try to hide.

I am telling you no harm will come to you.
You wish not to believe me, like I know not what to do.

You told me I should understand.
I just want you to take my hand.

You want nothing to do with me.
Shown me only truth, here’s what I see.

I see a coward who is trying to hide undercover.
There’s a boy, trying to be man.
You’re afraid to be love another man, afraid to be my lover.
I guess for our sake, we only do what we can.

I ask you stop giving me nightmares and let me sleep alone.
Stop making me think of being in your arms, a place that I thought could be like home.
