My friend Celine ( Kjorteo) recently started liveblogging a playthrough of Pokemon SoulSilver, and this mental image got stuck in my head: her and her chosen starter, a Chikorita named "Empress," leaving New Bark Town for the first time. Scout, her soon-to-be-caught Hoothoot, can be seen in the tall grass, not yet aware of what's about to happen to it.

I was originally going to keep Lyra's outfit its standard colors, but I figured matching them to Celine's usual outfit would suit her better. I'd say that was a good choice. :D
