I'm trying to think what part of the game this is from but I can't.

FFIX is my favorite FF, and another one of my favorite RPGs of all time. One in my top 5 favorite.

I'm not *completely* sure, but I think this song plays while Zidane and Freya are eating lunch at a diner in Lindblum's industrial section (later destroyed by Atomos).

Yeah, you're exactly right. It's on the 1st CD when Zidane dicides to have lunch at some restaurant in Lindblum inside the industrial district. There he meets Freya and the song is playing there.
