After having gotten lost during the Battle of the Somme, British soldier James Madison soon finds out that the weird can only get weirder. He stumbles across a parallel universe, and to make it worse, a parallel universe filled with half-animal, half-human monsters! But the only way to get home is to collaborate with these monsters, who he soon finds to be friendly. That is, he thinks they are friendly, until he overhears that they will be exploiting him to fulfill a prophecy. What will he do? Run away, or try to fix everything to find a way home? Only reading will tell.
