I've always had a fascination with the mobster theme and eras. Ever since watching all of the Godfathers years back, I had a growing interest in the whole style. Some of my favorite movies that incorporate that whole air of organized crime include Goodfellas, Casino, Once upon a time in America, Departed and Untouchables to name a few. I recently got into a TV show called Boardwalk Empire that I am currently watching since Game of Thrones's Season 7 ended.
When I heard Nomax was open again, I asked him for EagleOnyx and DragonOnyx in that theme and he was happy to oblige me!
Here we have two sides of the same coin working together and conduct some 'business'. EagleOnyx is already out of the car and waiting while DragonOnyx takes a brief moment to admire the snow before getting serious.
The car is based off of Al Capone's 1928 Cadillac 341A Town Sedan though with another color scheme.
Title of the picture is based off the song of the same name by the legendary Frank Sinatra.

A friend of mine was a huge fan of 30's mafia movies. One day he gathered all his change to buy a movie about the St Valentine's Day Massacre. It may have been the movie wit that name, but I'd have to see it again to be sure.
Anyhow. One line kept coming up: "<insert victim's name> at the last day of his life."
This picture gives me the same goosebumps as that line had over 25 years ago.
P.S. Here is the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpU5Jhq1NE8

I actually saw this movie years ago. No doubt what we see as wonder or fascination was nothing short of horror and fear for many people during this time. I've wondered what the every-day was for the average mobster. How much of the shootouts and smuggling took a toll on their minds and sometimes, their life?
Good questions and we will probably never know. I haven't heard of any of them writing their memoirs. Not that many of them lived long though. At least not the enforcers. Everyone else from the supporting organizations probably did it as a job like any others.
It might be interesting just to read a book with the timeline of the events and some statistics about how much alcohol was consumed and destroyed during the prohibition. There won't be any exact numbers of course, but just the scope of the production and smuggling would be interesting.
And I still love the Thompson for it's look and firepower with the 150 shot magazine. Still the best gun for any story or movie at the time.
