Another BDay pic for another one of my old hobbies.
Im a big fan of martial arts (encase you couldn't tell already) and what better way to show off some skill then with the classic flying kick!

Oooohhh - awesome action pose! Really is a perfect freeze-frame kinda moment in a nice kick. I love that both the footpaws have the toes splayed out in a really expressive way, and that super-confident smirk really sells the move. Only problem is being a paw-lover or pawsexual when he does that. Usually results in getting kicked in the face while all derpy-eyed. :3
Some people are into trampling and in more extreme cases, macro micro fans literally have there entire bodys crushed!.. So a broken jaw seems like a relatively tame side effect by comparison...
Then again you could always be good and kneel down so the foot doesn't have to come to you instead!
I think its a fair option.

I'm a big fan of martial arts as well as fighting games, both for obvious pawful reasons and also because it's just really beautiful when it's done well :) Great picture here, of course. You made an very dynamic pose and it looks like something you'd see right on a character select screen for Street Fighter or something!
Its a classic pose but one thats not handled in this manor very often. Once again I was surprised with how few people had drawn something like this!
Only 3 images come to mind and one of them is the new character for Rivals of Aether called Ranno which is very recent.
other then that it was just fun to make sure it all looked on model.

Happy birthday to you Mr. Paws! I do hope its been going by swimmingly~
You are quite right that I strangely don't see this pose too much. You pulled it off oh so naturally of course. The blur lines leave a nice after affect outlook that your handsome fursona self is lunging thru the air at his incoming opponent...or target practice. (I'd certainly volunteer to be a dummy for ya. Besides, I'm flexible so you can even test out throws and holds on me) Always like when you make the fur puff out with those little tufts all over his body, it your fur much more soothing to the touch in terms of looks. Good use of shading too for your gi pants, as the shadow cast against the outer leg from the leg bending inward casts a rather accurate casting of said shadow at just the right angle. I really like how stern you are here, and how peircing your eyes are gazing, you are really getting into character with this flying fox kick~ Your paws are highly expressive as well! Each toe is somewhat curled in as they brace for impact with either someone's face, or chest to cripple them over as they fall against the force of your kick! Really, all this needs know is some kanji to spell out the name of said move and you'll be your own action hero who uses martial arts to destroy his enemies, like Kenshiro.
You continue to just brighten me right up with your mesmerizing artwork Mr. Paws~ ^///^ But really, if this fox ever need a training dummy..especially for kicks and stomps to hone those skills.... *coughhackwheeze* I volunteer...I can just imagine how much of a sweat those paws will work up after this, ..or as they smash into said person's face. And the aroma that will pound into them the same instant said brown padded toe bean soles collide. -////- Shoot, I wouldn't be able to dodge this at all, I'll be much too awestruck. I am already defeeted....

Er...I almost don't want to say happy birthday since I tend to not like strangers saying that since it devalues the meaning of someone saying happy birthday. Cause it means much more with closer friends and such. But that is just me most likely. Er...Happy birthday?
Also, nothing is better than the Hangetsuzan, a spinning or rather, flipping axe kick. Also that is from what I can say, the "karate" version of the flying kick. The Chinese martial arts version is the preferred version I like, not slapping in you face if that is what you feel! But if you want the more Kung Fu, or traditional Chinese Martial arts version, you'd have to tilt your foot to where your toes point to the left or right dependent on which leg you are using.
Also if I had to say....a Flying Double Kick is better. >v>
AKA, Liu Kang's EX Flying Kick in I think Dragon Fire Variation....not sure. But that EX Bicycle Kick is....ugh.....I can't get enough to how much combo potential it has a starter, continuation, ender, and extender!
CvS 2 DJ: "Let the Martial Arts Madness begin!"
The Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 DJs of the games are literally one of the best DJs that don't get too ridiculous but at the same time pump up the audience. I love it.

Thanks for the Bday but remember you dont have to feel pressured into saying it whether its your quirk or not. Its just a day after all ^^
You sound like quite the fighting game fanatic! I often find that its incredibly hard to master the mechanics of more then 3 fighters all at once because it takes so much time and dedication to get to a competitive level with each.
One title I am really looking forward to getting my claws on will be the upcoming Dragon Ball Fighterz title by Arc System Works who are known for there well made, heavy metal anime stylized fighting games. The perfect guys to finally make a real competitive fighter out of the DB franchise.
I shall add that to my Smash Bros, Rivals of Aether and Street Fighter skill sets much like adding a new style to real martial arts for a better all round opponent.

I am a Fanatic of said games. Though you are correct, not even I have a real third character. Its just Kim and Mr. Karate at decent non-long combo levels.
I can't wait for that game either. Though I hope the controls are more forgiving, but its not like I don't know that the Marvel Vs. Games are hard and need skill level.
If I had to say I prefer a set of martial arts in real life, or in general to yours, I'd prefer Chinese sets of Martial Arts, with maybe Aikido. The Martial Art with Weight Displacement and Manipulation. So much so to where joints can be absolutely destroyed in one fell move of your own. Which in turn makes you think hard about how you use the next move before acting upon it.
I actually came up with a saying, but strangely it just feels as corny as Bruce Lee things, haha. And its possibly much worse.
"Flow like Water before you can flow like the Wind." since water can take the form of almost anything, so can gases, but since Air itself in our atmosphere, and in general any gases in the Gas Giants' atmosphere have tendencies, mainly for our planet, to flow VERY violently and be unstoppable. Always flowing, subtle or not so subtle. Gentle in touch, powerful and unyielding to blows. Wind can blow in multiple directions, with many types of names for airflow. From light gusts and breezes, to heavy gales and turbulence, which the latter resides far in the heavens without straying too far.
Unfortunately it just feels very strange to say, not to mention I am not even sure an old saying like that even exists before me saying that. Strangely enough Native American belief is said that Wind is the "Breath of Life", carrying people when they need. With the even stranger note on the side being that one of the markings on my Typh's face, notably the Rhombus, is the mark for Wind in Native culture. And if you put another solid rhombus beneath, the symbol becomes "medicine man". Which is actually a mode he goes into where he has a healing aura all around him if partied with multiple allies. But the user is the only one who experiences quite the effects outside of the Silvery-white Mode! In which, "as long as the most vital organs are undamaged and not severed, he can put anyone back together again in little time. Fully healed. No scarring." it hasn't occurred yet. But the amount of energy stored in his body can literally keep an army alive in the right positions. Or if shadow clones of him were scattered and maintained properly somehow..
In fact, his healing factor is so great that he won't ever have scars himself, whether or not he was prepared for a near-fatal attack. And much like Goku, VERY well versed in martial arts, with Goku's preference of fighting hand-to-hand. But also have Vegito factors of energy form manipulation.
Why did I just blabber mouth? Too much came out about my Typh's design....this better not happen with my other character I can hopefully get out!

I think Bruce Lees sayings have a lot to them so I dont find them cheesy at all.
I think his version only mentions water for 2 reasons. 1 to keep things simple and 2 to keep things visible and applicable to our own rules (water may be clear but you can still see it which helps visualize its motion where as air/wind and other gasses are invisible and also arnt affected by gravity in the same way).
By 3 fighters I should have clarified by saying "3 fighting game genres to keep track of".
As far as martial arts I would like under my belt. Id say Brazilian Jujutsu and Krabi-Krabong since I have very little knowledge in weapon based arts but this one covers both staff and sword play!

Ah, I prefer pure empty-handed martial arts. From Wing Chun, to Bruce Lee's own effective martial art, Jeet Kun Do. Though I would guess there is some involvement with some form of weapon.
But yeah I get that water part. Though Wind requires senses that aren't sight. Which at some points, one sense is no good so the others are needed.
Aaah, well I keep track of a lot of figting games. if I don't play one for a while I can shake off some rust. But I also keep track of Tekken!
The only non-Chinese Martial Arts I'd like are Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, and I believe some derivative of Karate, but since its VERY old style, it would require all of my life's dedication to just pure martial arts, which almost doesn't fit anymore in the world. Since its better to be diverse currently.

You do look cool, but I'm not convinced you are badass. What I see is a cunning face (look at these sparkly eyes!), not a threatening one. And showing off your lovely soft paws doesn't help either. : D (I especially like the pose of the left foot, it's not often you see a tricky angle)
Anyway, great job on the picture! It's very nice to see Fox again.

Well it shouldn't be too odd.
Like most canines and felines, the fox has a due claw that only appears on the front legs and is the animal equivalent of a thumb, (except its nowhere near as handy) with the rears only accommodating the usual four digits!
